Back in the Saddle

As of today, it's been exactly one year since my last post, and what a year it's been. We have secret government agencies spying on the entire world, race-fueled rioting, and a national ammunition shortage that I never would have seen coming. In the middle of that we have sparks of freedom- seemingly average people like Cody Wilson and Ed Snowden defying the powers that be like characters from an Ayn Rand novel.  Somewhere along the way I stopped blogging, mostly out of the nagging idea that continuing to comment on politics or current events would result in me being on some kind of list, or profiled by some spy agency. Funny, that was long before the NSA spying scandal broke. Somehow, I think no matter what you say or do, if you believe in individual liberty, like firearms, or are at all critical of the powers that be, you can end up on a list. So to heck with it. I'm going to keep blogging. Because in the end, being on one of the Central Scrutinizer's watchlists would be sort of an honor, and refraining from writing just because some tax-eating goon can read it is absurd. So here's to a new year of assorted commentary, the odd libertarian rant, some DIY projects and music. The Mind of Brian has saddled up again.
